Israel Wilner
Director, CIS and Eastern Europe
Mr. Wilner is a highly experienced Senior Executive with vast international expertise in consultancy, project management, international trading, finance, investments and HR, currently serving as the Director of the CIS and Eastern Europe Desk at Compass Ventures Group.
Mr. Wilner is a resourceful leader with a multi-faceted worldwide exposure, fluent in Russian, Hebrew and English. Mr. Wilner previously held senior positions in the economics, international trading and finance sectors. After serving as the CFO of several Koor industries subsidiaries, then a pioneer Israeli Industrial holdings company, Mr. Wilner moved on to take over the roles of President and CEO of Fine Care Medical Services, President and CEO of Neri Consulting, and President and CEO of Lovett Trade and Finance. In these capacities, Mr. Wilner was responsible for supervising multi-million dollars operations worldwide, while building highly successful organisations, actively seeking and raising funds and constantly looking for new investment opportunities.
Mr. Wilner has a vast experience in working with various banks, both trade and project finance. Mr. Wilner was involved in the establishment of one of the first private agro holdings company in Russia and later initiated, in partnership with Koor Trade, a local agency for Makhteshim Agan in Russia. Mr. Wilner is further knowledgeable about logistics and processes in the Asian market being a co-founder and previously the CEO of FELB, a transit logistic company designated for round shipments of containers via transit between Southeast Asia and Europe.
Lastly, Mr. Wilner is passionate about the high-tech world, constantly looking for innovation opportunities and having previously invested in a range of start-ups including successful exits in 2009 (Redband) and 2014 (Superderivatives).
