Zeev Holtzman
Co-President of Compass-Giza Fund
Mr. Zeev Holtzman is Co-President of Compass-Giza with over 20 years’ experience in the Private Equity and Investment Banking sectors. At Compass-Giza Mr. Holtzman focuses on strategy, networking, deal sourcing, and the company’s activities in Asia and Poland while acting as Chairman of the GPV-Poland Investment Committee.
Mr. Holtzman has led successful investments in M-Systems, Precise Software, Libit, Zoran and DSPC. Mr. Holtzman is also the Chairman of the IVC Research Center, Israel’s leading research and database firm covering the Israeli hi tech, technology, venture capital and private equity industries. He is the Co-founder of Israel Venture Capital Association, known today as HTIA; Formerly the Chairman of the Technion’s [the Israeli MIT] Endowment Fund; Co-founder, Board member and supporter of Tmura, the venture capital industry’s main philanthropic organization; He is also trustee of the Tel-Aviv Museum of Art.
Previously, Mr. Holtzman headed Giza Economic Advising Ltd. where he advised leading investors and technology and investment companies such as Scitex, Elscint, Koor, Discount Investment Corporation, Poalim Investments, and Bezeq as well as the Ministry of Finance, and served on the boards of major companies and startups. He also served as the Executive Vice President at Leumi & Co., the investment banking arm of Bank Leumi and worked for Lehman Brothers corporate finance department in New York.
Mr. Holtzman was a captain in the Israel Defense Forces, serving in a special reconnaissance unit, and was the recipient of a citation from the President of Israel for leadership during combat.
Mr. Holtzman holds an MBA from Columbia University and a BA in Economics and Muslim History from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
