Senior leaders of China and Israel interacted with each other closely and set to establish mechanisms for economic and technical cooperation between their two governments. This will further promote Chinese and Israeli enterprises that have long been eager to seek cooperation. Prospects for the development and use of high-tech in environmental protection, energy, healthcare, agriculture and other new areas are broad.

Israeli President, Shimon Peres, paid a state visit to China from April 8 to April 10. When talking with Peres, president Xi Jinping said China was willing to continue to maintain high-level exchanges with Israel, and hoped to establish mechanisms for economic and technical cooperation between governments as soon as possible, as to enhance exchange and cooperation in agriculture, energy, environmental protection, education, healthcare, technology innovation and other new areas.

Dr. Ronen Dagon, chairman of Compass Ventures Group came to China to look for cooperation partners with the help of the central NDRC, with the aim of using Israel’s high technology to solve many of China’s problems in the areas of environmental protection, energy, agriculture, homeland security, and healthcare.

Dr. Dagon said to the correspondent of China Business News that he believed in the next stage of China’s development, i.e. the era of high-tech development. He mentioned that China has a huge population, vast market and strong demand. Because of these factors, advanced technology is closely related to people’s quality of life, and therefore has great market potential.

Compass Ventures Group’s projects in China mainly focus on Israel’s advanced technology and technology transfer. During this visit, Dr. Dagon brought many of the world’s leading science and technology companies with unique advantages from Israel. These companies utilize technologies from a variety of sectors, including  waste recycling, water treatment, energy-saving – air-conditioning and refrigeration, and agriculture.

Dr. Dagon stressed that Israeli companies did not want to just sell products into China, but the best way for cooperation is to look for Chinese joint venture partners, in which Chinese partners provide business development capabilities, part of the investment as well as good local government relations, while Israeli partners provide technology, management, R&D and training.
