On July 25th, 2016, a delegation of 6 representatives from the Chongqing Science and Technology Commission, led by the Vice-Director, Mr. Lijun Wang, visited the Compass Ventures General office in Israel.
Chongqing, a major city in Southwest China is the most populated municipality in China, and is one of the fastest growing cities in the world. Chongqing is known for heavy industry, automobile manufacturing, and military industry. It serves as the primary logistics and distribution base for Western China. The Chinese Central Government has put special emphasis on Chongqing’s development, since June 2007.
During the visit, hosted by Compass President, Mr. Dan Raviv, the Chongqing delegates met with some of Compass’ leading partners in the fields of homeland security, irrigation, land remediation and water and waste water treatment. The day commenced with a brief introduction of the general activities and background of Compass Ventures. Following , Mr. Guy Zuri, Compass HLS VP Technologies presented Compass HLS technologies in the Home Land Security arena. The day progressed with a detailed introduction to Compass Land remediation technologies, waste water technologies and irrigation technologies of Netafim, a global leader in smart drip and micro-irrigation solutions, which was of particular interest to the Chongqing delegation.
The visit ended with both sides excited for future collaboration between Compass and the Chongqing Science and Technology Commission.
