BEIJING, September 2018 – Compass Ventures Group hosted a Georgian delegation led by the former Prime Minister of Georiga, Mr. Irakli Garibashvili. The delegation traveled to China to explore new business opportunities between Georgia and China.
The delegation and the Compass Group team met with a range of senior Chinese executives managing China’s leading companies in the fields of infrastructure, energy transportation and aviation. The delegation visited China’s top companies in those sectors, including companies such as Avic, Powerchina, China Heavy Machinery, Henan Aviation, China Coal Construction Group, China Railway Construction Company, Cscec and others.
The delegation discussed the potential collaboration between Georgia and China and was received at a very high level and with great interest from the Chinese counterparts. The business meetings set up and led by Compass were very fruitful. The local Chinese companies expressed their interest in visiting Georgia and exploring further the possibility of collaborating with Georgia.
During its visit, the Georgian delegation also met with TUS Holdings in the TUS Park in Beijing. Together with Compass and the TUS Management, the delegation discussed different opportunities for collaboration in the areas of innovation, science and technology.
The Former Prime Minister of Georgia, Mr. Irakli Garibashvili was deeply impressed with the quality of the visit and the companies the delegation visited in Beijing. Mr. Garibashvili also expressed his gratitude to the Compass team, for its expertise, flexibility and ability to offer new horizons and business possibilities to the Georgian people and their future.
